Why choose Southern Maine Remodeling
Every home should be as unique as the people who live in it. At Southern Maine Remodeling, our goal is to create spaces that reflect each homeowner’s needs, style, and vision—whether that means completing a whole-home renovation and addition or simply refreshing a hallway with new paint.
For more than 15 years, we’ve helped homeowners across Southern Maine make more of the homes they already love. With skilled carpenters, electricians, painters, and other experienced professionals on staff, we can manage every detail under one roof. This gives our clients one trusted, accountable team from the initial conversation through project completion.
From kitchens, bathrooms, additions, decks, and exterior renovations to smaller repairs and improvements, we approach every project with the same care and attention to detail. No project is too large or too small when it makes a home work better for the people living in it.
Part of a bigger Maine family
Southern Maine Remodeling is part of the M&R Development family, alongside our sister company Maine Properties. For you, that means a lot more than a logo. Behind our crew stands a large, trusted network of certified contractors we’ve worked beside for years, so when your project calls for extra hands or a specialized trade, we’re never scrambling to find someone we’d vouch for. If you see a Maine Properties truck pull up to your job site, that’s by design. Same family, same standards, same people we trust with our own work.
Proudly part of the M&R Development family of companies.

SMR exceeded our expectations with the work performed for us. We added a fireplace and opened a wall and their construction was exquisite. We truly appreciated their daily timelines, professionalism, and friendliness. We will continue to use SMR for all of our home remodeling needs and highly recommend the entire team for anyone requiring any building or renovation work.

Bathroom Remodel
I cannot say enough good things about the team at Southern Maine Remodeling. They have been my go to team for multiple projects over the year from, full kitchens, to porches and most recently a in-law suite and master bath. I would recommend their work to anyone.
Cristina Csimma
Kitchen & Bath Renovation
Southern Maine Remodeling completed an extensive kitchen and bathroom renovation on a home we just purchased and addressed a number of other repairs throughout the house. They were professional, highly responsive, on time and on budget. Whenever they encountered an issue they came to us with proposed solutions on how to proceed. They worked seamlessly with our home designer. We couldn’t be happier with the results.
